Kelly and Eric are being married as I write this today. Their wedding ceremony is taking place off site of the Legacy Ballroom. The reception is taking place at Legacy Ballroom and we are all ready to go! We just need the guests and of course…Kelly and Eric! The Fireside lounge is all set with candles and the right mood for the cocktail hour. The ballroom is adorned with beautiful and simple lavender colored flowers and candles. Rettew’s will be arriving any minute to do their prep work and get all of the delicious food ready for the big celebration! I had a wonderful reception at the JCC. They were very professional especially dealing with me changing my date (I think 3 times) I’m so happy with the services they provided.
I loved it! Plain and simple. The Legacy was everything that I was looking for. From the private bridal room that was specially decorated for me and my bridesmaids, to the elegant ballroom.
The ballroom was very nicely renovated and it took a lot of stress off my shoulders to know I could use minimal decorations and still achieve the feel I was looking for. I wanted a nice, candle lit, romantic ambiance for the reception and I got just that! The Legacy also provided a spacious kitchen for our caterer’s to comfortably cook in. The banquet manager was also very easily accessible and was open to me and my family coming out more than once to see the ballroom before the big day.
There are no words to describe the wonderful experience we had at the Legacy Ballroom for our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding reception this past Saturday. From the very first meeting we had with Jill, through the whole wedding planning process, we always felt like were the only ones planning a wedding! The site was immaculate, and there was a full staff to help us set up the day before the wedding. In addition, they cleaned everything up and packed it up for us too! With my daughter’s beautiful centerpieces, and candlelight and twinkling lights throughout the entire ballroom, the ambience was magical! The dance floor was huge, and we needed it to accomodate our 130 dancing guests! We were able to put the dance floor exactly where we wanted it, and arrange the tables accordingly. We have received numerous compliments on the elegance and beauty of our venue. We wanted something different and unique, and this hidden treasure met all our needs! I highly recommend the Legacy if you are looking for someplace that will WOW your guests as it did ours!
As soon as I saw the Legacy I knew it was perfect! With the bridal room, the lounge with fireplace, it set the perfect mood for my winter wedding. It is the best space for the best price in Lancaster! Jill was amazing to work with, she was always helpful with suggestions and always returned calls promptly. I was able to set up for my wedding 2 days before the date which helped out tremendously. The staff was also very helpful in setting up things. I highly recommend the Legacy!
I worked with Jill to have a luncheon event at Legacy Ballroom in June to commemorate Major Dick Winters and the men of Easy Company who served under him on D-Day (6-6-1944).
We had people flying in from across the country for this event and also had several VIP guests in attendance, including filmmakers, Hollywood actors, authors, and WWII vets who are now in their late 80′s.
Our needs for room preparation, holding areas for the VIPs, handicap accessibility, WWII memorabilia displays, AV equipment, and caterer needs were all met as requested. Last minute glitches (what event is ever glitch-free?) were handled professionally, expediently, and in such a way that attendees were oblivious to the issues that arose.
I would definitely recommend working with Jill and using Legacy Ballroom for a future event.
I have no doubt that choosing the Legacy Ballroom for my reception was one of the best decisions I made regarding my wedding. I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was to have Jill, the banquet manager, by my side throughout the planning process. She was always so helpful, attentive, and flexible that I always felt taken care of. It was much appreciated amidst the highly stressful nature of planning a wedding that I knew I didn’t have to be stressed out about anything regarding the Legacy. Jill was always available to answer any questions, arrange meetings, and was always proactive with helping me plan my perfect reception. She deserves all of the kudos she gets and more, it was a truly invaluable experience having her to go to while planning my wedding. Also, the ballroom and fireside lounge were beautiful beyond words. Not much decorating is required in order for you to have a beautiful backdrop for your special day, but if you do want to decorate the Legacy will accomodate whatever you need. It takes a HUGE weight off your shoulders that you get to come in and decorate the entire day prior to your wedding. It is also SO nice that the Legacy staff does a lot of the setup! All of the service and care we received was definitely a great value for the price, I would choose the Legacy again and again!!! Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed!!!
The Legacy Ballroom turned out to be the perfect place for our Daughter’s wedding. The ballroom was beautiful and we were allowed to used special lighting and drapery which made it look like we spend thousands of dollars, when in fact we didn’t. Everyone at the Legacy was very helpful in all the decisions that had to be made for the day. Everyone of our guests complimented us on the venue and the wedding. It turned out to be a great day and an awesome wedding reception.
What a wonderful place to have an event…especially a wedding. Planning a wedding with Jill was a breeze. She was extremely helpful and dedicated to our special day. They allow you to decorate the day before, making for a stress free wedding day. The ballroom is absolutely beautiful. It was a pleasure working with Jill.
I had my reception at the Legacy Ballroom and couldn’t be more pleased with the venue and service. Indoor facilities that comfortably hold 200 people and look this beautiful are few and far between. Jill Sherman, the wedding coordinator, was an absolute gem from the first day we chose the ballroom to the day of my wedding. She was extremely personable, organized, and efficient throughout the planning process. She also offered many practical suggestions that helped the order of events flow smoothly and made the ballroom look more beautiful than I could have imagined. For any brides looking for an indoor reception venue, I would highly suggest taking a look at Legacy and meeting with Jill.
